Amazon’s 2009 revenue for the fourth quarter was $9.52bn, a 42 per cent increase from a year ago, while profits hit $384m, a 71 per cent leap.
For all of 2009, Amazon’s revenue was $24.51bn, a 28 per cent leap from 2008, and profits reached $902m, a 40 per cent increase.
That works out at a staggering $46,632 per minute, or around £28k.
